Sweet gentle rain caressing my face,
Easing the strain;
Dry billowing heat dancing on my skin
Lays me down in defeat.
To lie in this summer’s day
Broken ambitions scattered round,
Daisy chains wilting their charms,
Holding you in my arms…
To lie here for just a while,
A tender surrender, sapped and glistening under the re-born sun,
A gentle kiss on your cheek
Blushed as the smile rises, eyes roll back
Pierce me
Brown sugar melted, gliding free
Enwrapped for this moment…
Time flittering like the butterfly
Won’t stop
Won’t stand still despite our prayers and wishes
And the moment vanishes
In timeless kisses.
